SUBJECT: Race to Erase 2009
I am taking part in this year’s Race to Erase on September 26, 2009 and I need your support! Race to Erase is an annual fundraising event, which involves teams of four adults driving throughout London competing in fun and exciting challenges. The challenges are designed to not only be entertaining, but also raise awareness and exposure for local businesses and not-for-profit organizations. This year, proceeds will benefit the London Food Bank, which helps individuals in the area who are experiencing difficulty securing food for themselves and their families. Last year, the London Food Bank helped an average of 2,500 families per month, with 41% of food distributed to feed children and youth. However, in 2009, employees and volunteers have seen an increase in families visiting the Food Bank, with the number of those requiring assistance rising to 3,000 per month. If you are unable to donate, you can still help by passing this email along, or signing up a team yourself. It is a fun event, and there are many great prizes available, including an all expenses paid trip to some place warm (last year’s top fundraiser won a trip to the Caribbean)!
