About the Race

Rally together for your community!

Operated by The Chris Dawson Foundation, the second annual Race to Erase fundraiser will involve teams of four adults driving through London to complete fun-filled challenges.  These challenges are designed to not only be entertaining, but to create awareness and exposure to local businesses and not-for-profit organizations.  Prizes are awarded to individuals and teams that raise the most money, as well as the team that finishes the Race’s challenges in the fastest time.  Check out the list of last year's prizes!

This year, proceeds will benefit the London Food Bank.  This organization helps individuals in the area who are experiencing difficulty securing food for themselves and their families.  Last year, the London Food Bank helped an average of 2,500 families per month, with 41% of food distributed to feed children and youth.  However, in 2009, employees and volunteers have seen an increase in families visiting the Food Bank, with the number of those requiring assistance rising to 3,000 per month.  Dollars raised will go toward the much-needed services that the Food Bank offers to those in need in the community.

Mark the event date on your calendar: Saturday, September 26, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The ‘Race’ began in Sarnia, Ontario in 2006 and has since spread to Wallaceburg and London. Sarnia’ event will be held on September 19, 2009 and Wallaceburg's event will take place on October 3, 2009.
